More than 300 artefacts from the Titanic are to go on display next month at London’s O2.

The exhibition, which is being jointly staged in association with RMS Titanic Inc, will also include recreations of the famous ship’s rooms as well as footage from Titanic Expedition 2010.

Examples of the items on display include samples carried by a perfume maker traveling to New York, china etched with the logo of the White Star Line and a pocket watch belonging to a passenger.

Visitors to the exhibition will each receive a replica boarding pass of an actual passenger aboard Titanic and follow a “chronological journey” of the ship’s development, construction and sinking.

“Over the past 15 years, more than 22 million people have seen this powerful exhibition in major cities worldwide – from Chicago to Los Angeles and Paris to Dublin. We could not think of a more amazing location to share this never before seen footage to the world and debut 14 new artefacts” says Cheryl Mure, Vice President of Education for RMS Titanic, Inc.

“On that unexpected night in 1912, more than 1,500 passengers met the same fate no matter their class or place in society; a shocking ending to what was a joyous journey. Their story is our story and it is our honour and duty to share these treasures with London at such a poignant time.”

The O2, Friday 5 November 2010 – Sunday 1 May 2011, for more information please visit www.TitanicLondon.co.uk
